I'm back in training for a 100km charity ride in August, so I'm trying to hit the road as much as I can.

I haven't really ridden in more than six months so things are going slow.

Trying to ride to work at least once a week and take a ride on Sundays.

jep i love cycling. pretty good for that mental health as well

i got bikes for everything nowadays, im also a big fixie no brakes hipster cunt

most of my bikes are self-built though. i don’t ride carbon because i’m not that much of a roadie - i do have one but it’s a steel vintage roadbike - excellent tho, but im into mostly mtb/bikepacking/fixie shit. not the biggest fan of carbon ride quality

#SteelIsReal

lifing in germany it’s pretty nice to not get fucking murdered by cars though, i tend to stick to the cycle roads between cities/towns/villages, i usually avoid the main roads between these

Nice. Lots of hills around here so gears are a must. Not sure how the hipster fixie crowd survives honestly.

There has been lots of investment in my area in converting old rail lines into mountain bike/hybrid trails, so I have some plans to get a group together to do a 3 day tour.

Pretty interesting stage 1 of the TDF.

Pogacar looks to have a better team around him this year, so we might get a good battle all the way to Paris.

I imagine this is a thread for me, Nintex and MMaRsu. Basically use the bike for everything that's within 20km.

Bought a stationary bike a while back for when I don't feel like going outdoors. Put on some anime and bicycle through two episodes.

Want to try and ride my bike to Paris sometime. (Not at the moment.) About 600km. Thinking about splitting it into five 120km chunks.

74km this morning. Wrecked.

More training needed before the 100km at the end of August.
