I remember folks were throwing a hissy fit when Nintendo kept using MIDIs for Twilight Princess and while I do enjoy orchestrated soundtracks, I never understood the hate against MIDI. Especially consoles with a unique sound like the N64. It was pretty cool that consoles and even sound cards used to have a 'unique sound'.
