This rings pretty true. Name me a AAA game that's as unashamedly girlie as infinite Nikki?
It’s interesting insofar as other media is diverse in appeal. Like, recently Barbie and Wicked were two big successes movies. You’re not seeing big games appeal to that audience.

Also, Scrooge McDuck is a pretty lousy capitalist. He cared so little for accumulating capital he kept his wealth as physical objects (at least he wasn't dumb enough to keep most of it in paper currency) in a big vault so he could swim around in it or wasted it on adventures for his nephews instead of investing for common market returns. You think John D. Rockefeller built Standard Oil by swimming around in bullion?

A pivotal moment comes in 1877 when a ditch-digger pays him with an 1875 US dime, which is useless as currency in 19th century Glasgow; he only notices what sort of coin he has been given after the man has left, as his boots were so caked with dirt, Scrooge fainted from exhaustion after finishing his work. Enraged, Scrooge vows to never be taken advantage of again, to be "sharper than the sharpies, smarter than the smarties and tougher than the toughies". He takes a position as cabin boy on a Clyde cattle ship to the United States to make his fortune at the age of 13. In 1898, after many adventures, he finally ends up in Klondike, where he finds a golden rock the size of a goose egg. By the following year, he made his first $1,000,000 and bought the deed for Killmule Hill from Casey Coot, the son of Clinton Coot and grandson of Cornelius Coot, the founder of Duckburg.

Scrooge never completed a formal education, as he left school at an early age.

Starting with Barks, several writers have explained how Scrooge becomes aware of the treasures he decides to pursue. This often involves periods of research consulting various written sources in search of passages that might lead him to treasure. Often Scrooge decides to search for the possible truth behind old legends, or discovers obscure references to the activities of ancient conquerors, explorers, and military leaders that he considers interesting enough to begin a new expedition.
As a result of his research, Scrooge has built up an extensive personal library, which includes many rare tomes. In the McDuck Archives, every work of McDuck's expeditions studied by scholars such as Ms. Quackfaster. In Barks's and Rosa's stories, among the prized pieces of this library is an almost complete collection of Spanish and Dutch naval logs of the 16th and 17th centuries. Their references to the fates of other ships have often allowed Scrooge to locate sunken vessels and recover their treasures from their watery graves. Mostly self-taught as he is, Scrooge is a firm believer in the saying "knowledge is power". Scrooge is also an accomplished linguist and entrepreneur, having learned to speak several different languages during his business trips around the world, selling refrigerators to Eskimos, wind to windmill manufacturers in the Netherlands, etc. He should have just gone to a mediocre art school for seven years and got a seven year lease on a car from his stepdad then done absolutely nothing smh what an asshole.

From that Wiki page it looks like Disney's pretty much all but eliminated the real early 20th century stories where he's a private imperialist, as was the style at the time, from the canon. So what were illegal slave plantations in named locations in the 1908 comics are now unspecified "business ventures" in unspecified locations.

Donald Duck is The War Machine.
That Scrooge comic book series is pretty great actually. I have those stashed somewhere as well. Loved those as a kid.
As for FantasticToma, Germany is pretty down bad right now so I can see why he is triggered by $3000 GPUs. The cost of energy is very high, mainly because their attempt at wind and solar energy failed. They can't really compete with China or the United States anymore because production is too expensive.
Because of their political decisions there is also no easy way back to prosperity and they're falling further and further behind. The Germans were actually quite pissed when the Ukrainians came over with their expensive sports cars and SUVs when Russia invaded.
As for $3000 GPUs, they are a waste of money but they do keep their value. So if you buy a $3000 GPU and sell it when the next generation releases, you'll easily get 75% - 80% or more of the value back. So in that sense $3000 GPUs are really just $1000 GPUs.

Is that from the Bombie the Zombie one? He hired mercenaries to wipe out an African village to start a rubber plantation. It's portrayed as the worst thing he ever did.

The new DuckTales version appears to be SPOILERS:
Quote:This version of Bombie's pursuit of Scrooge is the result of a general curse that afflicts whoever is the richest person in the world at any given time. Though he could not defeat it, Scrooge managed to trap Bombie on a deserted island and sealed him away within an enchanted bin. However, when Scrooge's great-nephew Louie Duck gets his hands on his great-uncle's fortune as the result of a previous episode and uses the money for frivolous means, he inadvertently cuts the "magical security" budget funding the trap, releasing Bombie. After going on an unstoppable rampage, Bombie is only stopped when Louie and Scrooge show humility and learn that wealth cannot solve all of one's problems; giving the monster a shoe-shine before he departs from Duckburg and dispels the curse.

Also, WTF is wrong with "full armour"? If the game is about combat, of course I'd want the female protagonist to wear armour instead of a pretty dress... I don't know what you are talking about. I thought I made myself pretty clear. Western videogames are ashamed of letting girls be girls. You talk about combat, but how come almost every prominant western game with female protagonist always has to be about combat? (The only one that isn't is The Sims, and it's the most popular game among female players). Maybe girls have other interests beside slaying monsters? Maybe some of the those interests are different from what boys usually like? Or maybe even when slaying monsters, some girls prefer to look pretty while doing it? I know a lot of female players who play all sorts of videogames that don't care about realism as much as you do. I think a lot of western videogames with female protagonists are not made by women, and not targeting women. They are made by men who project their own interests onto women, and they pat themselves in the back for having female representation, even though they fail to actually attract female players to their game.

Though I'm with you that prominent, high budget and well produced games in the West shy heavily from being feminine in ways that target women as a primary audience and concern.
Which is why I've found the Nikki series a breath of fresh air since discovering it. A browse across the Love, Shining or Infinity Nikki subreddits and you’ll see a ton of women relieved to have a game series that’s decidedly feminine and pretty without creeping sexualisation or male pandering. Something that pays attention to the physics of clothes and not the boobs underneath them.
Yet they remain unscathed. Curious

Cuntyi followed some important ground rules, like first claiming that there's actually still rarely female characters in full armor (which would only be true if you only play gacha games) and then talks about how the most important part of Infinity Nikki is that there aren't any breast physics because clearly that's the actual difference between a game aimed at men and women.
Also of course Morrigan got the other person banned. It's pretty clear that she hates all things that have been deemed feminine so she considered that post a personal attack.
The Carl Banks thing was alluded to in Mad Men with Lou Avery and his comic that people made fun of but he ended up selling it
