I mean, I didn’t really mind the matrix 4, it didn’t really do anything interesting but it was completely inoffensive but I’d never want to watch it again and it just kind of exists, it won’t age well the poster was right, there’s one good matrix film (the first one before anyone tries any shenanigans) and the rest are mediocre at best aside from the action scenes which could’ve just been one film imho

They don't truly annoy me but if there was one single trait I had to pick as most annoying it's how they act so relentlessly no-fun-allowed seriously when they don't take any of these topics really seriously in the slightest. Best evidenced by how ignorant they remain of the most basic things they lecture about. But if you take any of these topics seriously, suddenly you're "trolling" when you're the only honest person in a sea of dishonesty. And this started back on GAF, most obviously during besada's fruit basketless reign, they just amped it up as if they're trying to find the max possible and still have some semblance of a community.

Do you honestly think Sony even thinks about Xbox anymore when making their decisions? Sony stopped thinking about Xbox about a decade ago. They aren't exactly competition anymore. On the other hand, Sony will always have competition with Nintendo and PC. If they fuck up too badly, people will drop the higher price and get a PC. Or trade a lower price for something that may have less graphical prowess, but comes in a handheld form.

This is such a cop out, nobody forced them to do it, they took the cash and made a trash film. They no longer have the pull to make other big budget films after their numerous flops so they took the cash for another trash ass Matrix movie. They are just as responsible for milking the Matrix as WB.

They made one great film their whole career, followed by a series of mid to trash tier films.

There are so many things wrong with this post.

1) There's no "they", The Matrix Resurrections was only made by Lana, Lily chose not to be involved because the story was so personal to Lana.

2) While it's true she wasn't forced to do it, Lana also didn't take the project as some sort of "get rich quick" deal. For a very long time she refused to make a fourth Matrix film despite WB promising her literal "fuck you" money because she didn't think it needed another part.

What made her ultimately say yes was the fact that in a very short time period she lost both her parents and a close friend. Lana then wrote the story of Resurrections to cope with her grief as going back to Neo & Trinity was a safe place for her. WB came knocking again and now she had a very personal story that she wanted to make, so she finally said yes.

It wasn't a quick cash-in because "they didn't have the pull for a different big blockbuster", this was a deeply personal film that Lana chose to make as a way to cope with the loss of three people very close to her.

3) Wtf is with "they made one great film in their career". Even if you do not enjoy their post-Matrix career (which I kinda understand, but I do not agree), before that the Wachowskis made Bound, which is an amazing film and highly respected as a 90's queer classic.

I don't know what you are talking about. I thought I made myself pretty clear. Western videogames are ashamed of letting girls be girls. You talk about combat, but how come almost every prominant western game with female protagonist always has to be about combat? (The only one that isn't is The Sims, and it's the most popular game among female players). Maybe girls have other interests beside slaying monsters? Maybe some of the those interests are different from what boys usually like? Or maybe even when slaying monsters, some girls prefer to look pretty while doing it? I know a lot of female players who play all sorts of videogames that don't care about realism as much as you do. I think a lot of western videogames with female protagonists are not made by women, and not targeting women. They are made by men who project their own interests onto women, and they pat themselves in the back for having female representation, even though they fail to actually attract female players to their game.
