And even if sex was not binary, how does this prove that trans women are "NOT biological men"? Until you establish that x-axis you can't say what either women or men are! (Though the graph seems to suggest XY and XX define this, which means it's binary, not "bimodal" and that spectrum is just made up. The whole thing is just completely incoherent, if nobody knows "who is woman enough" then how can someone identify as a woman? They must know what a woman is, what's woman enough. They were so successful at turning woman into a meaningless label they now have to go after both sex and biology and then ultimately science itself. All because they don't want to ever be told no.

But psychologically the affirming is worthless because the more it's meaningless they less they will want it and the more they will focus on what they're being denied. This is why you don't affirm the delusions of mental illness in all other cases.

It's ultimately why Joanne and the TERFs were correct in the end about the language being the line to hold even if they didn't grasp the metaphysical danger of the ideology.

There isn’t a streaming thread so I’ll bitch about it here: Amazon Video having ads is ridiculous.

tl;dr for months my home VPN was down after an auto update. To watch Amazon stuff, I’d connect via Tailscale. Too slow to stream but I could initiate downloads and finish them with normal bandwidth. Fixed the home VPN last month and everything is normal.

Now I’m trying to stream Invincible and it has random interruptions for 90 second ads four or five times across the 40 minute episode. Sometimes mid sentence it jumps to an ad. Why bring back the worst parts of TV for a service you pay for. How expensive are HGH and lip fillers for Bezos to sign off on this.

TV ads would be gracefully inserted at specifically designated points in a show, edited to accommodate a brief interruption. 

Streaming Ads just start screaming at you about some inscrutable influencer microbrand after the second syllable of a 4 syllable word in the middle of a monologue. And then show that same commercial 3 times in a row, 4 times across entire runtime of the episode.

Unironically, I believe there’s a craft to pacing around commercials. There are ramp ups and ramp downs and mini cliffhangers. And shows had to be snappy to fit the 22 or 44 minutes.
