Nintex. I think you need a detox from Trump's farts. You've huffed enough for now.
It all went well until Vance explained that the Biden policy didn't work and the US is now trying diplomacy. He literally used the words: Putin invaded Ukraine.
For some reason Zelensky started an argument with Vance and it derailed.

that was not the important part
Quote:J.D. Vance: For four years, in the United States of America, we had a president who stood up in press conferences and talked tough about Vladimir Putin, and then Putin invaded Ukraine and destroyed a significant chunk of the country. The path to peace and the path to prosperity is maybe engaging in diplomacy. We tried the pathway of Joe Biden, of thumping our chest and pretending that the president of the United States’ words mattered more than the president of the United States’ actions. What makes America a good country is America engaging in diplomacy. That’s what President Trump is doing.
the clear implication is "diplomacy with putin"
so zelenskyy says, motherfucker, we've TRIED diplomacy with putin, and see what it got us
Quote:Volodymyr Zelensky: He [Putin] occupied various parts of Ukraine in 2014. During that time, it was President Obama, then President Trump, then President Biden, and now it’s President Trump and he will stop him [Putin]. But during 2014, nobody stopped him. He just occupied and took. He killed people. From 2014 till 2022, the situation was the same—people have been dying on the contact line and nobody stopped him. We had a lot of conversations with him, including a bilateral conversation. As a new president in 2019, I signed with him a cease-fire deal alongside Macron and Merkel. All of them told me that he will never go. We also signed a gas contract with him. But after all of that, he broke the cease-fire. He killed our people, and he didn’t exchange prisoners. We signed the exchange of prisoners, but he didn’t do it. What kind of diplomacy, J.D., are you speaking about? What do you mean?
vance touched a nerve...but while no one should have to put up with all the bullshit zelenskyy was being forced to listen to, a better move would've been to internally scream while nodding along, sign the papers, and be done with it
but I can't blame him for taking issue with that rhetoric
There's no way it wasn't entirely planned to go that way.
Vance was there to piss off Zelinsky with his rehearsed lines, referencing those videos that are making the rounds on X among MAGA tards, tankies and Putin bots. He knew it would play well.
The way Trump reacts when Zelinsky starts to push back is completely performative.
They brought Zelinsky to Washington for a good old humiliation session in from of the cameras, for the sole amusement of Putin and the MAGA crowd.
Absolute scums of the Earth.
I think the term is "boiling the frog". The slow realisation from moderate and reasonable Americans that they fucked up and they have at least 2 more years of this and there's nothing they can do about it until then...

Two more fun facts.
The Ukrainian army had very few casualties in the opening of the Russian campaign because they weren't at the miiltary sites. Zelensky did not believe the US warnings about an immediate invasion and brushed them off.
To avoid war Obama send the esteemed diplomat John Kerry to Lavrov to hash things out and glue together what Hillary had broken.
You know who we send on a diplomatic mission to avoid the war that's currenly raging? Foreign secretary Liz Truss.
We did everything we could to poke the bear, literally everything. Including inciting a revolution in Belarus.
Do I agree with the goals of regime change in Belarus and Russia in general? I do. But let's not pretend the EU/US/NATO and Zelensky and his Azov friends weren't taking huge fucking risks with how they pushed the Russians into a corner.

one day you'll be okay admitting that even though you like the guy, its extremely lame for him to be dressing like a soldier when he does no actual fighting and wasn't even in his own country. heck, it might even be a symbol of how he imagines himself to be some big boy general which makes it even more goofy

Quote:Before the full-scale invasion in 2022, President Zelensky's trust rating was 37%. Afterwards, it rocketed to 90%.
Before Donald Trump returned to office at the start of 2025, it was 52%. After he blamed Ukraine for starting the war, it hit 65%.
"They [Donald Trump and JD Vance] were so rude," says 30-year-old Andriy. "They don't respect the people of Ukraine."
"It looks like Washington supports Russia!" observes Dmytro, 26.
You wonder what the last 24 hours has done to President Zelensky's popularity.
"When the situation becomes worse, we have another rallying around the flag," explains Volodymyr Paniotto, director of the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology which conducted some of the polling.
World leaders' popularity often wanes over time, and Mr Paniotto says President Zelensky has not been immune.
His ratings especially took a hit with Ukraine's failed counteroffensive of 2023, and his sacking a year later of the popular commander in chief of his armed forces, Valeriy Zaluzhnyi.
But Donald Trump's new, transactional, often-hostile approach to Ukraine has forced the country to unite and brace for further uncertainty.
Not least with his warming to Russia.
But not, just tell them that they should let them being fucked by Russia. No more deaths.

He was at 35% just before the war. His party was tainted by corruption scandals.
He did an admirable job to rally his country but he is not some type of genius war general and it all went really fucking bad when he stopped listening to his military and replaced generals until he found some willing to continue suicidal assaults. You know who was shocked by this? Prigozhin of the Wagner group, he could not believe that Zelensky would send so many to die in pointless assaults in Bakhmut. A decision that baffled Washington too, because they believed Bakhmut had no strategic value.

The dude that Putin demoted and killed?
Fuck off, Nintex. Legit, how much are the Russians paying you?
The Russians don't pay me anything and I don't support them. I just don't think Zelensky is a very effective leader anymore.
He's in over his head but he's not the only one to blame for this clusterfuck. Yes Putin is bad, but it also didn't help that Washington wanted to see some KPI's to show that Ukraine could win the war in terms of land won back and dead Russian troops. It has been downplayed but that counterattack was the biggest allied military disaster in any recent conflict.

I posted an article that directly mentions that his popularity is going up rather than down with Ukrainians, so the notion that is cosplaying as a war boy is affecting his popularity outside Russkies is risible.
The title of the article in google search is this: Ukrainians back Zelensky after disastrous Oval Office encounter
This is also to shows that Trump sperging and screaming did the opposite effect of what expected with the concern trolling tactic of "How many more going to die. Elections Zelensky."
BTW, Nintex violated the "leave this shit in politics" treaty.
Bro, just let nation of mouth breathers 1 take iver nation of mouth breathers 2. Why does anyone care? Shuts getting boring. Can they invade a country with less pussies in it next time?

The thing with the Zelensky episode is that from what I've gathered the average guys don't really care.
In the Netherlands we've all met eastern European contractors like Zelensky. In western Europe we consider them rude and disrespectful and all they care about is money and booze.
Does that mean we want their country destroyed, no we like to see peace. Everyone does.
But do we care enough about Ukraine to defend it with our lives and send them more money if the Americans bail? I highly doubt it.
Remember, Greece didn't even have a war going on and no one really supported helping them out even though it's a nice place for vacations unlike Ukraine.
Most people aren't pro-Putin or pro-Ukraine, they support Ukraine but they don't see it as a conflict we should get involved in.
In fact we voted against the Ukraine/EU deal in a referendum way back in the day because many feared it would provoke the Russians and they didn't trust Ukraine.
The only reason why our country became angry with the Russians was the downing of MH17.
Our government doesn't really have the popular support for the 'whatever is necessary and how it long it takes' line.
And Putin I would say is hated less than Trump. With Putin it's kind of this: "well we could've expected he would act like this" response but with Trump it's just REEEEEEE.

Better relations with Russia.
You know how he won that election?
Unlike Poroshenko he spoke Russian and he said he would meet with Putin, so the east voted for him.
It's the only reason why they voted for the comedian. Hell his opponents assumed he was the Russian spoiler candidate. This is fanfiction nintex and you know it.
He ran on anti-corruption ticket (which is what his TV show was about, you know, the one he named his political party after) and his overtures towards Putin were designed to end the Donbas conflict. There were to be withdrawals of Russian troops, prisoner exchanges and then general elections in the contested region to decide if they would come under Russian rule or remain in Ukraine.
He was massively popular as a candidate well before he even nominated himself and this was because his campaign was very populist and based on "draining the swamp".
Nintex, do I recall correctly that covid vaccine gave you brain damage?
Xi wins again without doing anything. Thank you Mr. President.
The whole thing felt like the biggest tantrum on live TV. Trump looked like a bully and Vance was nothing more than a hype man begging for scraps of attention.
Vance is an absolute shit weasel. He's joining Peskov and Lavrov on the worst people alive list.
This is worth listening to, given the current issues.
Quote:For three quarters of a century, the NATO alliance has been a fixture of European and North American security. Now however, the allies are embroiled in a very public split and the call by some European leaders has been for more defence independence from the USA.
Today, we look at some of the military capabilities the rest of NATO have, what independence might mean, and some of the economic, technical, and political barriers to achieving it.
