Are you okay Britain?

Quote:3.2. There is not a precise historical description of what a ninja sword is. Ninja swords (Ninjato, Ninjaken, Shinobigatana) are used by modern Ninjutsu practitioners.
We are aware that some specialised knives, such as the tuna knife below will be banned, as an unintended consequence, but shorter and longer tuna knives will remain available.
Maguro Bocho (Tuna Knife) (21” blade) – whilst examples between 14” and 24” will be prohibited shorter or larger examples will still be permitted.
Quote:Straight swords that will not be banned by the new definition
There are a very large number of different styles of swords with straight or curved blades.
Modern functional copies of traditional swords are popular with collectors, martial artists (Historical European Martial Arts - HEMA) re-enactors, for ceremonial use (weddings etc) and sometimes for religious reasons.
Seax (23” blade).
This is an example of a typical Seax sword. The point is similar to the tanto point, however, it would not meet the criteria we are proposing for ninja swords because the straight line at the tip is not roughly the width of the blade.
Anglo Saxon sword (31” blade).
Viking sword (24” blade).

We need to stop diagnosing each other with autism and ADHD
Quote:One academic study published earlier this month suggested that social media content is “romanticising” ADHD, portraying it as a “cute” disorder and pathologising “normal everyday experiences” as symptoms – bog-standard things like having a messy bedroom, forgetting where your keys are or procrastinating at work. After analysing the 100 most popular ADHD videos on TikTok, psychologists from the University of British Columbia in Canada found that fewer than half the claims about symptoms were “robust” or accurately reflected clinical guidelines and classed two-thirds of the ADHD-related statements as “normal human experiences”. Perhaps unsurprisingly, young adults who watched loads of ADHD content were far more likely to have overestimated the prevalence and severity of “symptoms” in the general population.
I'm getting fed this shit in my Facebook feed. It's hilariously stupid.

Maybe if we normalise calling people autistic as an insult, it will have a certain level of social stigma that would stop this?
Like, when people used retarded as a slur for anything stupid people did, you didn't have teenagers earnestly convincing themselves that maybe they actually are retarded when they did common dumb things like leaving their coffee on the roof of their car before driving off or whatever

I looked at Jesse Singal's Twitter and it's just mainstream liberal takes and MAGA-types raging at him all day.

hm, i wonder what Kanye is up to...
Valid question given that he says he was starved and he was duly given the opportunity to answer. A journalist's job is to ask the questions that are relevant to the claims. Retards think they need to be advocates for a cause.

The show seems to have caused a real panic in the UK
I'd be very surprised though if these lessons actually help and not instead push boys in the opposite direction

When will men realize they are born with original sin and there is no redemption?
Unless you know the incel life hack. Declare yourself a woman and behold your sins are washed away. You are free to call womb-havers cunts and punch them in sports too.

I've been reading Daily Mail headlines about UK schools giving those for years now. There was like a great big one about how they were having to deprogram all the kids from Andrew Tate just a couple years ago. I forget the one before that, probably Skibidi Fortnite or something.
edit: Here we go:
https://www.nytimes.com/2023/02/19/world/europe/andrew-tate-uk-teachers.html wrote:‘Brainwashing a Generation’: British Schools Combat Andrew Tate’s Views
Alarmed by an online personality’s popularity among their students, educators are mobilizing to combat the sexism he promotes. https://www.bbc.com/news/education-64234568 wrote:Andrew Tate: How schools are tackling his influence
Intelligent, articulate and disciplined - that's how secondary school teacher Charlotte Carson describes Andrew Tate, the online influencer who is a role model to many of the boys at her school in Belfast. https://www.theguardian.com/news/2023/feb/20/heres-how-to-talk-to-teenage-boys-about-andrew-tate wrote:Here’s how to talk to teenage boys about Andrew Tate
Parents and teachers need to build towards a conversation about the misogynistic influencer, rather than being reactive, says 17-year-old Isaac Ohringer. Plus a letter from Laura Albero https://www.theguardian.com/news/2023/apr/29/talk-pupils-misogynist-andrew-tate-teachers-schools-england wrote:Don’t talk to pupils about misogynist Andrew Tate, government urges teachers in England
Advice comes despite charity’s warning that social media figure is fuelling shocking growth of misogyny in schools

Like most extremism, people like Tate have the biggest appeal to guys who are, or think of themselves, as huge losers. Like here's a guy who suddenly has all the answers for you, who tears you down and then builds you up. So all the "well actually misogyny is bad" is something I don't see influencing kids at all.
Not like I have all the answers either but I'd say you need to find a way for these guys to feel appreciated in a community again. Branding them as potential little murderers when they're just 13 probably does the opposite of that
And that doesn't even factor wage stagnation or the rising cost of living. How will these preteen boys ever be expected to not rip and tear their way through all available femmes with the weight of such social pressures on their shoulders?
Sorry but it’s kind of ridiculous how the UK is getting worked up over a fictional Netflix show. You guys used to whine about Top Gear being scripted. What happened that you’re acting like Americans.
tbh this is just a good example of what good tv should do, start conversations and get people thinking
nipping this stuff in the bud early is how the nintex's of the future secure a good supply of girlfriends in later life
you guys realise people have been writing pieces about what to do about the state of the youth of today since writing was fucking invented right?
