This is cheesy and gamer-brained as hell but I saw "BOYCOTT NINTENDO" in the chat and it hit me like... if I'm boycotting Nintendo, wtf am I doing? Their games are a such a huge touchstone in my life and such an important part of the medium that my life would feel diminished without them in it.

Obviously I would boycott over certain things, and I have very much avoided their products due to price in the past (usually waiting for a drop), but I'm looking at the DK footage and how joyful and well crafted it is and thinking like... I DO want this in my life. And if the world were to truly go to shit and things like video games were to go by the wayside, I would very much miss and mourn Nintendo.

The tearing down of the system likely will not happen because people insist that this system, which is the blink of an eye in our species' overall existence, is somehow permanent and eternal, despite the fact that like two dumbass crackers right now are basically demonstrating its obvious contradictions and tumultousness. Capitalism will not last forever, and just by the physical limitations of the planet, cannot last forever, although I can't predict what will come next. It's hard to be optimistic with regards to where the power will flow. But I am 100% confident it will eventually die one day with or without mass revolution, and subsequently the conditions that plague Africans today will be no more.

Also, billionaires giving money away or buying up the media is not the solution. Again, there are no good billionaires. LeBron's self-interests as a capitalist lie squarely against Black people's liberation, meaning anything he would do is not going to help by design because it will never actually endanger his wealth. The solution is to build alternative systems from the ground up that withstand capitalist exploitation while educating people on their own oppression to further build resistance, so that the system itself is weakened and ultimately replaced with one wherein you cannot be a billionaire in the first place. Ultimately, I just see Black capitalists as nicer versions of Clarence Thomas, and I find the idea of not holding their actions against them fundamentally distasteful. Again, they deserve more criticism, not less.

Let me tell you about being Latino… anyone in law enforcement can deem us to be affiliated with a gang with zero evidence. Once it's entered into their records it can be used against us.
