I swear donating money to black people is like a religious penance for these weirdos. It feels gross in ways I can't quite articulate.

I hate this editorialising shit. I thought Community Notes were supposed just add facts and this is plainly not true. Did whoever wrote this even google "weapon" before putting it in inverted commas?

"A means of gaining an advantage or defending oneself in a conflict or contest."

If context notes get used by politically motivated users to score zingers, it defeats the point. They'll be as shitty and partisan as the tweets they are correcting.
This is why we need community notes on community notes.

It’s tribute to Yakub for giving whites life.

Look they're stealing the land from the homeless. If the elite build housing and probably have gay sex in all the beautiful parks, where should the homeless live and play their gypsie songs or dumpster dive? They want to force you onto the drug infested streets which are dangerous and deadly. We must stop this immoral act. We must end the Hobocaust.

All this Harvard stuff is too funny. Now they got mad that Rufo claims to be Harvard graduate despite only graduating from an Harvard extension school. Thing is, Harvard very clearly advertises these extensions as "real Harvard" and now you got professors shitting on their own students for being too poor

Here's the truth; American universities are not actually that great outside of some specific STEM courses

There are dozens of UK universities that produce better graduates than the Ivy league schools

Quote:For instance, in galaxy evolution we invoke imagery strikingly similar to what you would expect if you were eavesdropping on Hannibal Lecter: words like cannibalism, harassment, starvation, strangulation, stripping or suffocation. There is a rather long list of foul analogies that have entered, and are now entrenched, in the lexicon of professional astronomy. We have grown accustomed to this violent language and as a community, we seldom question or reflect on its use.

Strangulation is a particularly cringeworthy term in astronomy, referring to the decline of the number of stars born in some types of galaxies. This is a vicious crime where most often the victim is a woman; the perpetrator, a man. Yet, we use this word mindlessly to describe a slow astronomical process that takes millions of years. Under certain conditions, some galaxies use up or lose the gas that is the primordial ingredient to form stars. When that happens, galaxies make new stars at a lower rate. But these galaxies do not die or suffer great harm. They will continue to shine and will live their natural evolution.

This is but one of many examples of violent language in our field that actually describes something gradual, slow and perhaps even gentle. Of course, sometimes powerful language is an accurate reflection of what’s happening—a supernova “explosion,” for instance, describes when a star detonates in a mighty blast at the end of its life, enriching the universe with brand new materials. Terms like this need no revision. But in many cases, they’re needlessly vicious and promote inaccurate connotations.

To shift toward more welcoming and truthful language in astronomy, scientific journals can push to change the currently accepted language. The referee, or the scientific editor, can ask the authors to consider more appropriate descriptions of the physical processes involved. Referees, editors and editorial boards can step up to enforce scientific accuracy and stop the use of violent, misogynistic language that is now pervasive. This is a call for scientific precision. The use of hypercharged words in our field ignores the fact that this violent imagery can trigger distress in colleagues who might have been victims of violence.

The linked source does not appear to support this claim except through a very tortured reading of 300 specific survivors in San Diego in 1995.

Just hypothetically, I would imagine most male strangulations would naturally proceed more often to death and logically this should be most all female-on-male strangulations as males would be better able to fight back in situations where they have any physical advantage. I also imagine most men would not report being strangled to mere injury (identifiable by an expert) by a woman as a crime. Using the "scientific method" I learned from rape activists I can say that 98% of all female-on-male strangulations are never reported. To further steelman my hypothetical I would point to the gender imbalance in poisonings versus physical violence.

All of what I have said in this post is transphobic though as it recognizes at least two different sexes.

The Hawking memes flooding the internet right now are gold and apparently Bill liked em young. Trumps

The Clinton Foundation literally had a pedophile island just like Alex Jones told us years ago and only our favorite President and Michael Jackson were explicitly mentioned not having been seen there. The former banning Epstein from his clubs.
STOPyet all the MSM uses for these stories are pictures of Epstein and Trump.
