I’m out of touch with how people use the Switch, but it’s a surprise they’re not only keeping the detachable joycons, they’re adding a trigger when used sideways.

Personally would’ve preferred a dpad instead of the four buttons. I get why they’re consistent with the Switch 1. It’s very Nintendo how after 7 years they never released an official left joycon with a dpad. Yet they understood the value by having it built in the Switch Lite.

I'm just glad that the detachable controllers meant that other companies could release better controllers for the Switch- Hori Split Pad and Split Pad Compact are the GOATs.
