What is it with people in creative industries implementing cult-like behaviour? Why do they love fascism?

But some in the life modelling industry say the push against alleged abuse and misconduct in recent months has turned confrontational and divisive due to a small group of models, has "split the community right down the middle".

Some individual life models report that confrontations have taken place at sessions, with some models demanding the removal of artists from events.

Tijana Dautovic is a life model who has been working in Melbourne for nearly a decade and said she has personally faced "verbal attacks" from a small number of other models for working with artists that have been accused. 

"This [behaviour] has deeply divided our community, creating an 'us vs them' atmosphere," she said.

"Public shaming, harassing and 'cancelling' individuals without a proper and fair process harms everyone involved — it doesn't lead to justice or improvement in our community."

In its list of red flag behaviour, the LMS also lists "endorsing artists and venues that have been banned from the LMS" and "making remarks that discredit the LMS" and as red flag behaviour.
