The head of the Chemical, Biological, and Nuclear defense troops of the Russian Armed Forces in Moscow has been taken out by Ukrainian intelligence.

Rumor has it that Budanov is planning to take out Putin as his next target. The Russians are seemingly aware of this.
Last time Ukraine tried to take out Putin with a drone strike, Washington called them off.

Late 2023 the Russians poisoned Budanovs wife so this is framed as his 'personal' revenge against those that tried to poison her and that he will keep trying until he succeeds.
