It's hard to imagine any sustainable progress from the mess this country is in, seeing as how we've been talking about these complete idiots voting against their self interests for the past few decades. We'd be in a different spot if you had to pass a super basic civics test in order to vote.

But then you are giving the people at the top that are already voting to "maintain the system" a even larger percentage of the vote totals.

To be clear, I'm not suggesting revoking anyone's rights, especially now that the system is stacked so heavily against us. I'm saying I think it's a shame things weren't set up differently from the start, with an educated populace being mandated as part and parcel to the collective success of the nation rather than some sort of suggested platitude or an exercise in optimism, where the founders just assumed it would be unlikely for so many charlatans looking to bring down the country from within would be able to collectively take office like a growing cancer.

Bring back census suffrage and weighted voting.  Andrew Jackson ruined everything.
