Why spend money on any food that isn't flour since it has the lowest cost per calorie? Everyone should understand that on a fundamental level the bare necessities for the human body to survive are not the same as what a human mind needs. If that gaming device improves their quality of life, it can be a good purchase, especially if it is one of the the few things standing between them and giving up. We shouldn't begrudge anyone for taking what little they have to make their lives better, especially the people who have the least
