Also no, if anyone is a threat to kids, it's Rowling who is actively denying science to harm kids for her agenda.

I've mentioned this elsewhere but I've found myself, exhausted isn't the right word, drained maybe, feeling hard to comment on the sheer level of transphobic hate coming from the US and UK, feeling like I can't properly word my anger and struggling to have to will to comment, if that makes sense? Like the fury of being angry tires me out so I just end up reading feeling so tired. I'm not sure if there is a word for that.

On saturday I wanted to buy a book about queer kids in my country, I flipped through it, saw a quote from a teen talking about the disappointment that our regional government had limited treatments for trans kids. Then at the checkout queue there was someone beside me holding one of these "I am canceled!"-book from some old, washed-up celebrity & the woman in front of me had a Harry Potter book. The cashier was so smarmy with her, gave her a coupon and a free bookmark. At first I just wanted to lay the book with the cover facing down, so nobody would see it but then suddenly my frustration welled up, I turned the book around so she'd see the cover with an enby teen from the correct side and tossed it scornfully onto the desk. Her joy instantly drained from her...
I felt like bad for it afterwards, because I always try to be respectful to service workers, especially if they have to work over the holidays but in the spur of the moment I just couldn't keep it in anymore...
