The reality of the situation is, many people thought #metoo was overblown, there were too many illegal migrants, the trans stuff was bullshit and movies and video games too woke.

But you couldn't really argue in good faith or even say those things without the risk of losing your reputation, job, friends or family. After all everyone pretended to be a saint. No one ever said anything mean to a gay person, no one ever bumped into anyone inappropriately at a party, no one ever deliberately crossed the street because some black fellow with dreads looking angry approached them and no one ever laughed at a racist or sexist joke. Everyone was just projecting and deflecting. Just look at all the transitioned transbians on ResetEra who used to be porn and videogame addicts at best and 4chan Nazis at worst.

Add on top of it all the media the normies consumed 100% confirmed that world view as did all the polls and research. Even alternative media like Joe Rogan only dared to go so far. Everyone just listened to the DEI lectures explaining to them how yt peepo bad and didn't dare speak up as creepy men entered womens safe spaces like bathrooms and changing rooms.
