I came to this site for video game leaks, but I've posted in many topics about Asian politics and culture since 2019.

I've personally seen a number posters from the Asian or former-Soviet bloc posting about the political reality and oppression they've faced, as well as their life stories, but were accused of "being lied to by the CIA" or "pushing an agenda," mostly by people who claimed to support diversity and progressive values.

I've been accused of these things on multiple occasions across the years, and more than once, people subtly indicated that I was faking my identity. I normally deal with this ok because I have thick skin, but I've known several users who, in a situation comparable to mine, have departed out of frustration or post rarely.

I am thankful that there are people who are nice to me and praise me for being patient, but I afraid my patience is close to running out. Like, when I put the things I need to explain into the context of the US political system, it's like people asking me, "Why are the KKK bad? Aren't they merely silly guys wearing pointed hats?"

These days, there are times when I feel I'm going to lose it if someone says "but WHATABOUT AMERIKA" to me one more time.

Make no mistake: I am not posting this to push mods to take action. If anything, I'm grateful that the mods haven't banned me yet lol. It's tough to pass judgment on a political topic, especially when most people are unfamiliar with the subject I'm talking about.

I don't expect anything by posting this, honestly. I just want to find a thread that is quiet enough to let me rant a bit without being judged, to share my thoughts——sometimes I don't feel well about things I've read, even if I try hard to remain calm(Come to think of it, this thread isn't always so quiet, with people arguing heatedly from time to time lol).

Well that's about it.
