There are a total of 5m Palestinians who live between the two areas. If a fund was created that had say 5-15 billion dollars, which is literally chump change for big projects. I'm sure there are a few countries out there that would accept 5-15 billion to resettle 5m people.
I'm not gloating here.
What are our options for supporting Palestinian emancipation if this ceasefire falls through?
Yes, it means Israel "wins", they get to keep all that territory and move in all their settlers and they will celebrate and blah blah blah but end of the day the war is over, no more genocide, and a few million people can restart their lives in peace.
Of course it won't happen because people who want to fight for Palestine think it would be "giving up", it removes a lot of political hot buttons that various governments and entities use for their own goals and the idea of using Western money to "solve" genocide is very parochial and imperial and I'm sure a dozen other reasons but dumb me thinks the world is gonna end up spending way, way, way more money in the next decade and hundreds of thousands more civilians will die with no real solution that seems likely. Israel/USA won't allow an independent Palestinian state to exist, Israel has no intention to ever accept Palestinians as Israeli citizens.
