I heard too many arguments about the 18-35 white male can't find a job, has no real friends, can't get a girlfriend, stuck at their parents house like these are problems that have been thrust upon them by outside forces. Its just easier to blame the woke mind virus and some liberal corporate mandate is the woe to all of your problems, when the issue is them, its been them all along. There is no law or policy that says DO NOT HIRE THEM, or DO NOT ALLOW THEM TO OWN PROPERTY or any of that, but that requires these people to see the problems within themselves and nobody wants to do that. They want it all handed to them, and when they see something different, something that marks them an an "other" they see things they think should be handed to them.
I can be sympathetic to the idea that the 18-35 year old may not have anywhere reliable to turn when they have doubts or questions and are unsure on how to take direction in their lives but doubts and questions is not blame and scapegoating, and thats what they do. Ultimately this group doesn't want help, they just want to be pandered to.

They also tend to be very insecure and susceptible to shame/feeling judged, so mocking the people they look up to (and not just tearing apart their arguments) while also being (or appearing) charismatic and confident yourself may make them second guess who they should be "idolising", especially if they're still teens/young adults. This can be pretty volatile and highly dependant on who you are (good luck getting them to listen to/respect you if you're not male or otherwise don't appear "powerful", for instance), but it really does feel like for a lot of people like this, they're more concerned with who seems "powerful" or like they know what they're talking about (regardless if they actually do), and whatever "feels/sounds right" rather than what's factually correct.
As you said, a lot of them don't want help and no amount of leading the horse to water and even splashing water onto its mouth will get it to drink. The "path of least resistance" of having made up BS spoonfed to them by their favourite outrage merchants is just too appealing to refuse for some. There's only so much you can do and I don't envy anyone trying to pull someone away from the alt-right pipeline, and you really need to know when someone is a "lost cause" because it's not worth anyone's mental labour or energy to try and help someone stuck in their ways with no inclination to ever change.
