There isn’t a streaming thread so I’ll bitch about it here: Amazon Video having ads is ridiculous.

tl;dr for months my home VPN was down after an auto update. To watch Amazon stuff, I’d connect via Tailscale. Too slow to stream but I could initiate downloads and finish them with normal bandwidth. Fixed the home VPN last month and everything is normal.

Now I’m trying to stream Invincible and it has random interruptions for 90 second ads four or five times across the 40 minute episode. Sometimes mid sentence it jumps to an ad. Why bring back the worst parts of TV for a service you pay for. How expensive are HGH and lip fillers for Bezos to sign off on this.

TV ads would be gracefully inserted at specifically designated points in a show, edited to accommodate a brief interruption. 

Streaming Ads just start screaming at you about some inscrutable influencer microbrand after the second syllable of a 4 syllable word in the middle of a monologue. And then show that same commercial 3 times in a row, 4 times across entire runtime of the episode.
