This is usually the point at which most people roll their eyes whenever an American speaks.

Nobody is opposed to a speaker discussing the good things their country has done, but I think it would be hard for anyone else to be as "rah rah we're so great" as an American. Humility (and sometimes dignity) is a foreign concept in the US.
