Last week there were a number of stories about how Denmark managed to avoid the rise of the far right as we’re seeing all over. Stories from mainstream liberal outlets. The tl;dr: sensible immigration policies from the center left government… that’s it.

This is very likely what you're going to see from this Labour government, and Trump has given us the perfect cover. Besides, in the worldwide trump recession, there will be no need for growth burgeoning immigration.

I could see left parties trying to boost overall GDP in a recession by opening up the taps. That's what Justin Trudeau did 2021-2024 to avoid an official recession

Living standards declined because housing went way way up and there aren't enough doctors but hey, total GDP didn't decline so mission accomplished.
