How was Anita one of the causes of Gamergate? She had been doing that series (written by a man) for like three years at that point. Meanwhile, the Zoe Quinn stuff was entirely new and came on the heels of another instance where media members were trying to rig giveaways to their benefit. What would Anita have to do with games journalism, the purported target of Gamergate, as compared to these other examples?

I consider myself pro-woman in the sense that I want to help them succeed and often do so professionally and I'm always respectful but I would never call myself a feminist.
The women I chat with on Bumble, they throw "feminism" out of the window in the first 3 messages because it's not working for them either.
It's because of the motte-and-bailey that "feminists" ran for so long. You could see it all over GAF and Era for years. Where feminism was defined as "equal rights for women" or "not hating women" whenever they got pushback on any insanity that wasn't feminist just crazy. This was the entire method of Jezebel. Some BPD nut writes some crazy shit and then everyone defends it because "feminism" just like we see now with "trans rights" or "self-diagnosed mental illnesses" or whatever else.
