I mean, no, you are trapped. You yourself describe opting out in ways that isn't remotely opting out. Because actually opting out is totalitarian and requires completely opting out not picking and choosing what participation counts and what doesn't. Which is why the criticism of Burr is apt, he wouldn't want to opt out if he could because he could at the very least opt out from being highly paid as a comedian and he doesn't.

Capitalism doesn't perpetuate itself from coercion (coercion is what's necessary to stop it), it perpetuates itself because the convenience is like root beer, that's the inertia. The alternative requires you to be a god, and quite frankly, you're not even close to one no matter what you think of yourself.
