It's a weird situation because I can't imagine Ubisoft wasn't aware of the problem. It just really makes Yasuke look like a token addition they didn't know what to do with. Not sure when they decided upon adding him to the game but I guess once he was in there was no going back. "Ubisoft removes black main character" would be a nightmare headline. I guess they could have made him just another Assassin but then it would be hard to justify how the one big black man in Japan can blend in anywhere.


I wonder if they had two teams in two locations working on the two characters separately
