This was probably always the plan. Inserted his tendrils. Took all the data he wanted. Probably has permanent hooks into all the sensitive economic/citizen data infrastructure he wants. Ended all the inquiries into his businesses. He now has permanent influence. This is just another calculated move.

Now he gets to 'leave' to try and quell all the controversy and take the heat of the admin and himself, while losing none of the access. Opposition must not let this happen.

This kind of leaves out what the purpose of "the plan" is even supposed to be.
