To pick an extreme example, we have Nepenthe's regular calls for mass murder and destruction because it will allow us to start from scratch. But then when someone has good intent, this party isn't about mocking Black culture they're trying to respect it while mocking a specific not "Black" culture but they're ignorant and doing it poorly, it's now the highest crime imaginable. (I refuse to grant "rap culture" as "Black culture" because that's fucking racist. Calling it a "minstrel" show is beyond racist, Era, as always, hates Black people.) And furthermore it's an existential crime against all of Black people because it's "part of a pattern" and people are "downplaying" it. And it simply shouldn't even be thought of rather than used as a moment to teach about other cultures so they understand the culture they're trying to respect better.
But this itself is "racist" because many Asian cultures love outsiders enjoying/attempting their culture and that's a sign of respect. Which makes this doubly respectful rather than a hateful act. They're essentially declaring something good that should be supported as a heinous crime. And that's incredibly, to use one of their favorite terms, toxic. The cruelty is the point.
