A few years back during a temp assignment I had a coworker who seemed to act passive aggressively around me, and it was something I wasn't used to in the workplace. I figured it was because he was rather boisterous and outgoing and I hadn't really socialized much around the office and I supposed he took that as me giving the cold shoulder (I had a more tech-y job than most of my coworkers and it took a lot of my concentration). So one time pretty late in the shift I went over to him to try to smooth things over.

Turns out he was gay and was just really into me!

Was a pretty awkward situation, but Covid happened immediately afterwards and I finished the gig while WFH and never saw the dude again.

Lmao. Situations like these remind me of elementary school. A girl was really into me and always pushed me and got me into trouble and was very mean to me. I told my parents and the teacher and turns out she liked me.

But this guy? Maybe he does, maybe he doesn't. But we're adults now. I'm taking his actions at face value. I'm not saying good morning to him anymore. I'm not acknowledging him outside of work-related matters.

I heard him gossiping with another coworker about how he thinks it's disrespectful to not say good morning when you see someone. And that's true and I feel the same way.

If he didn't like me before, he's in for a treat.
