I feel conflicted here. I get why so many feel the need to boycott or criticize this product from a perspective that isn't actually focused on the product itself. But at the same time I see just as much sentiment in other threads lamenting the closure of studios and the challenges an average developer faces maintaining a career in this industry. How do you reconcile those two things? This dude clearly sucks, but he didn't make the game all by himself, and I'm sure most of those developers wouldn't agree with his views on most things anyway.

I personally really liked the game and thought some of the things they did set it apart from other souls likes. It’s gorgeous to look at too. Obviously I’m biased, but it’s a bummer to see to much shitting on something that the employees are clearly working hard on. I don’t think I’ve seen a game get this much work done on it post release and continue to provide those updates for free. Just wish this aspect was acknowledged a little more.

Nah, anyone still working for him after all this is supporting him. There are surely other jobs out there.

If the owner of a fried chicken chain decides to state they hate gay people, a subset of people deciding not to buy their food anymore isn't about to make the fry cooks keel over and die, it's a deliberate choice to generate more custom from a group of people that hates gay people, hope this helps.
