Quote:During Easter with my family, my 13 year old nephew dropped this one on me:

"Eh, I played Apex Legends when I was young but haven't touched it in years."

APEX feels like it came out yesterday. For him, it came out when he was like 7.

It reminded me of one of my friend's kids a few weeks ago that was excited about my PS Vita. He had never seen one - he had a PS4 and a PS5, so that was odd to me. Nah, when the Vita came out in 2011 he was 10.

He's 24 now. I guess that makes plenty of sense.

Made me think how, with this forum clearly leaning a bit older, we'll talk about things like the Vita (or really anything before that) and anyone who loves video games but is under 21 may have never even seen one in person.

For all the complimenting we place on the PSP's D-Pad (and boy is it amazing), surely we have some users here who've never even seen a PSP in real life, right?

Are there games we have nostalgia for that you just don't understand? I could imagine someone who's 16 thinking "tf you all care about Halo for" or when we wax poetic about Ocarina of Time, they hated the 3DS version and never even touched the N64 version.

Do you have ANY interest in 2D games? Can you enjoy classic Super Mario or 2D Metroid? Would you ever even bother trying to get an old PC game up and running?

What's the biggest thing we older folk seem to have nostalgia for that means absolutely nothing to you?
