My otherwise very progressive coworkers were happily talking about the wizard game and their Hogwarts houses the other day and I felt like I was taking crazy pills. DON'T YOU KNOW SHE'S EVIL AND THE SERIES IS FULL OF HER BIGOTRY??? HELLO???

Work for a non profit and people talked happily about throwing hp bday parties for their toddlers so I tried to ask if I could send an educational email on what Rowling is doing and let people decide from there whether to continue supporting the series. Hr approved a heavily edited letter sent via email that no one responded to and people kept talking about Harry Potter.

Also got told I would be ruining "people's happiness"
