They act like this is some kind of holocaust but these are really all the smallest hills to die on.

Shit is sliding backwards rapidly for trans folk and frankly depending on which state you live in it has been for a while. There should be alarms going off and it feels like there is zero sense of urgency among dems or anyone else not in the community. Getting our first trans rep initially felt like one of the few silver linings from election night and instead it feels extremely hollow.
"We'll fix it in two years" I'm here to tell you that a lot of us don't have two years.

Why not? And shouldn't that be fixed first?

And why is getting your first rep "extremely hollow"? Shouldn't you be happy that you achieved what many thought would be impossible 20 years ago?
