It's so insane how Nothing Loud spirals back and forth between "I'm going to lose my house and my family will lose their house too because of my crushing debt" and "Check out this fancy luxury tech toy I got"

I'd like to think he's in a better place now financially but I doubt it

He's in a bad financial place BECAUSE of that behaviour.
