Postmodern Jukebox is great for that kind of stuff.

Ticked something off my musical bucket list tonight - saw Katatonia play live.
Excellent show. https://i.imgur.com/iGYdvRu.mp4 https://i.imgur.com/It18Pyr.mp4 https://i.imgur.com/9YEfBpT.mp4

Another live show last night. Mudvayne this time.
Never seen them before so I was delighted when they decided to reform for this tour. Ended up being a bit of a disappointment because the sound guy fucked the mix and Chad Grey's voice is completely blown out these days. Ryan Martine is still a God-tier bass player though and I could listen to that guy play all night. Still, had plenty of fun.

Apparently Igorrr did a song on a soundtrack for the Dorohedoro manga. Found it by clicking through some UK jungle meme. Good stuff.

Went to see Fear Factory and Machine Head tonight. Really surprised that both bands are still killing it live. Especially Fear Factory with their lineup changes.

Will get to see Igorrr at a huge metal festival in Belgium.
A shame Patrick the Chicken passed on.

Graspop?
That's a fucking amazing lineup

Yeah, Graspop.
Any bands there you'd recommend checking out? Not really a metalcore guy. Electric Callboy is probably the only metalcore band i'd check out. Maybe HANABIE.
Metalcore is not really my thing either, which is ironic considering I'm currently sitting at Knotfest Australia listing to some shite and most of the lineup probably qualifies as metalcore.
I saw Machine Head recently and they were great. A lot of the bands on that Graspop bill that I would be excited about I have actually never seen. I'm going to see Suffocation and Rotting Christ in about a month though. Thy Art is Murder are about to play next. Never seen them before, but I'll let you know if they are decent. Edit: If you are not a fan of metalcore/deathcore, Thy Art is Murder will do NOTHING to convince you otherwise. |
