Facebook had a fact checking program? I logged into my very old account a while back and saw one of my neighbors posting transphobic stuff and threatening violence against trans people and when I reported it got told by "moderation" there was nothing wrong with it.

I'm surprised they had any sort of fact checking or "moderation" before.

Why do they think a FACT CHECKING program has anything to do with moderating slurs/language/bigotry/threats of any kind? They're talking about the epic expensive failure they rolled out a few years ago to cheers where Meta was going to arbitrate all the facts of the universe, not moderating your grandma for misgendering you. This program was never looking at posts and saying "actually, the Jews do not control Hollywood and the media and Congress."
