I'm not going look fondly at this time however bad things get. Since the election I've been bracing because I know I'm about to get hit by a truck and ever since November 5th it's been apparent that more people wanted to believe the known liar was telling the truth this time about turning their dreams into reality than gave a shit about what was going to happen to people like us.

The compelled speech doctrine specifically prevents the government from forcing individuals to "declare a belief" or "communicate acceptance of political ideas".  The government can regulate conduct and impose consequences for actions, even if you don't "believe" in them lmao. Your personal beliefs about guilt, responsibility, or obligations or whatever is separate from the enforceable legal consequences of your actions.. even a child would understand this

I do not understand why these people hate us all so much. We have done nothing, All we do is exist, and we want to exist and be happy and live our lives. If I could live in a world away from them so they didn't have to bear witness to a queer person, I would. they've steeped themselves in the idea of dogwhistles for so long that they can't hear normal frequencies anymore

when a judge says we can't compel teachers to use preferred pronouns, it's based on 1) respect and understanding of the constitution and law, 2) defending the rights of those teachers, which could easily come from a place of positive emotions rather than negative ones

the judge is not saying "you should abuse those students and call them the wrong thing," only that by law you literally can't compel them to use certain pronouns, I'm sure if a teacher IS abusive that's a different law/rule/statute they're breaking and they'll suffer the consequences for it

the judge is also obviously not saying "haha I hate those motherfucking trans people so much, this'll show em," but that's what era reads
