I mean, they are in comparison to someone who works low level retail or customer service and has never advanced, is a "freelance game journalist" and/or lives off welfare of some kind. They have no concept that you can advance to that with basically an appropriate college degree and decade and a half of federal/state government bureaucracy work. (I'm generalizing but I'm trying to ballpark in as many positions as I can.) You don't even really have to be competent just alive. If you started at one of the lowest grades just out of college of course you're making that much as you near 40.

Reading the news of what is coming put of your country is shocking to say the least and frightening.

But it could get way worse if things continue, so I ask at what point do you start spending your freetime organizing Demonstrations, Marches or even more?

I see a lot of people asking on social media why Dems or other gov reps do not enough to stop what the administration is doing, but I also don't see not even close to enough political movement from the general public to even show you are against the sliding into fascism.

Or are there a lot happening and just not reported about?

What's happened since the Donald retook office?  Hes laying off some federal employees, he's deporting violent criminals, and ummm he decided not to prosecute some mayor that wasn't even facing any jail time and whose term is almost over? And he's trying to stop underage kids from being mutilated and castrated in the name of humoring a kid's mental illness?

Maybe if he did something actually worth "taking to the streets" people would do that?

Because this thread has made me feel very unwelcome on this website. And the the post I quoted doesn't help. We try to create content for people who enjoy video games. The team shouldn't have reacted the way they did on the podcast. We should aim to stand above these kind of things and not show our emotions this way. But looking at how this thread was derailed due to it makes me feel like the work we do isn't appreciated on this website. And I'd be better off just not talking about it at all.
