But I do think that publishers are going to have to put in a lot more work to stem the tide of right wing grifters using their games as targets for fascist behavior. You can't have the Sweet Baby crowd leading the narrative on your 100 million dollar game.

Suddenly ERA hypercritical analysis of sales figures take a nosedive because video games “need” to oppose CHUDs. Outlaws failure is a setback for the whole genre because… ???  . And avatar is a generational defining game.  

Besides the first batch of 'next gen' titles for PS5 (Demon's Souls and R&C), Avatar was that first really big "wow" moment for me from a third party. The game is freaking gorgeous, and the world is a lot of fun to explore.

When they were first announced people were complaining that they might get bullied held accountable for having them so they made it so you can hide it. The other food spot is a place i never would have expected because it's run by an asian immigrant.

First generation immigrants have different experiences than second generation. In my experience, first gen tend more easily align with conservatives because they generally didn't grow up with racism directed against them - whites aren't the majority in most of the world - and aren't that sympathetic to concerns about it.

But that's a generalization. The key is that you shouldn't assume non-whites are just magically in line with what you expect minorities to be. They're a varied group.

Person A generalizes immigrants: "I wouldn't think an Asian immigrant would be MAGA."

Person B generalizes immigrants in the opposite way "First-gen are actually conservitive." and finishes by nullifying his whole point by by saying "but that's just generalization."

It's not hard. They lost working class voters so let's push agenda items for working class people. Tax cuts for anyone making less than $250k, progressive tax hikes for those making more. Tax corporations on earnings they announce to shareholders so that they can't use creative accounting to get around paying taxes. Draft laws to overturn Citizens United to get corporate money and billionaires out of government so that the government works for the people instead. Invest in education. Trump is gutting the DoE right now, push how you will modernize learning for the next decade, including subsidies to pay teachers more. Build more affordable housing so everyone can have a chance at the American dream. Draft laws to stop greedflation. The focus should be on tangible benefits to every day Americans that everyone can get behind.

There were millions of people who didn't vote in this last election. We get 2-3% more people to vote who didn't in 2024 and we're good.

Trying to get folks to entertain learning about non-voters and courting them is an uphill battle in and of itself because liberals hate them more than they do conservatives.
