Yea, the SH2 remake is really good. I was so surprised, since I'm a huge fan of the original 4 and thought it was going to be a mess. Be warned, it's actually really really scary. At least it was for me. I was freaking out.

The way Trump loves these folks and has a noodle for a backbone when it comes to standing up for anything, I couldn't shake the fear of a Trumper pick-up truck stopping and taking a middle school girl for himself and spouting Trump and god and man's rights and the party being OK with it. (I've watched a Trump sticker laced truck slow a bit down and stare over at a middle school girl. They kept going but part of me wishes I did something, even if told the girl to call her parents while walking home but then my ass looks like a creep. I won't have that anxiety in these times though)

Fuck you all who caused this, especially those who kept crying about Israel/Gaza when Kamala wasn't going to announce premature plans on that which could have altered/escalated things further to get done before she was in office. People are touched in this thread. At least in the UK, depends how well the exit poll is done and if you count postal votes, taking into account shy voter effect. In the UK, there's a poll that is commissioned with a lot of the TV channels we have. They have been bang on for the past 15 years at least in terms of accuracy.

I don't know how well they're done in the US, but it seems silly to just discount them. With that, I'll be taking my leave from this thread, people are hyperbolic.

Exit polls here do not count early or postal votes. It's literally just people whom accept an interview by the media when leaving a polling station on Election Day. This is faulty for several reasons, first being Dems historically vote in greater numbers early or by mail, so ED skews Republican. Second, our political polarization means no one is really going to give a real answer all the time anyway, which is why polling is often off. Third, exit polls historically have been extremely off base from what the actual votes show. They are completely and utterly meaningless and people ITT are rightfully reacting by those whom are trying to draw conclusions based on them.

This is an honest question. Have any of you all had substantive conversations about the fears and concerns of the Trans movement with people beyond your own echo chambers? I have and the takes are genuinely interesting. It is clear that this issue is talked about similarly in right and left households, households of different ethnic backgrounds, different religious backgrounds. Maga found an issue that fractured the left. It seems there is a big problem with even discussing Trans without fear of being called a transphobe. What we are trying to do, is get millions of people to change what they have been taught for years. Change something that seemed so simple to understand. Never have we discussed the nuance between gender and sex and even good and open hearted people feel as if something radical is being thrust upon them.

During every single football game all across the country was the Kamala trans Ad, and let me tell you… it strikes a nerve in good people. Democrats need to find an affective way to discuss this because let me tell you, they are far off the mark.

In the end we will probably see that 10 million people that voted for Biden ABSTAINED from voting. They didn't switch parties. They stayed home. We have to ask why? As sad as it is to say, Trans and LGBTQ+ education to kids is a BIG one. It's a silent talking point NOT showing up in the polls because pollsters are either not putting it or not understanding that a lot of people on the left are ashamed to admit it.
