Lovecraft was so fucking racist that Shadow Over Innsmouth (wherein a town is revealed to be populated almost entirely by hybrids of New Englanders and monstrous fish people) was inspired by learning he had a great-grandparent who was Welsh. But he also died in abject poverty and his work is in the public domain. To the extent the Lovecraft fandom leans any way, I'd say most of them (that I am aware of) lean left. Many of them openly acknowledge that Howie was a prick, and being willing to do stuff with the mythos that'd make Lovecraft's head explode.

I went to a very diverse school system growing up, so my natural way of speaking has inherited a lot from other cultures (which I'm extremely thankful for).

Over the years, though, living in Texas, I worked for a lot of bosses who frankly expected me to speak very white, so I developed a "racist boss white people" voice that I used at work.

What the god damn hell is this stupid fucking bullshit?

What on earth does it mean to "speak white"? 

What are these things that you could inherit from non-white cultures that make your way of speaking less white? 

What's the difference between "white people voice" and "racist white people voice"? Assuming he wasn't just randomly throwing out slurs, because that would just be "being racist", not "speaking with a racist voice". How do you have to sound, without doing or saying anything racist, that indicates to people that you are definitely racist? Can you sound specifically racist, as in "from the way this guy speaks he definitely hates asian people but is okay with black people, despite not actually saying anything that would indicate this"?

Why can't these people be normal? Do they not realise that their attempts at virtue signaling make them seem like turbo racists?
