I think my problem with Ciri protag is just getting off a show that already decided not to tell the stories from the books but instead make up new stuff focusing primarily on powerful women and sidelined Geralt in his own property

I'm Ciri'd out and don't have any confidence that it won't feel like more of the same even though it's not made by the same people (and CDPR is hiring more of those kinds of people as writers)

The chance of us getting a Witcher 2 level plot again is non-existent (fyi this runs perfectly on Deck even though it says unsupported). But I thought Cyberpunk had solid writing. I haven't played Phantom Liberty yet. 

I don't think it'll end up being too bad.

At least Ciri can swing a sword without doing a full 360 pirouette. I’d say her combat felt better than Geralts in the Witcher 3. Or I could be misremembering. Either way, i don’t really care who the protagonist is as long as the combat isn’t a sloppy mess like it always has been for the series
