I made a few posts on this in the OT, she was awesome and seems to be well received.

Haven't watched yet so I can't say how it's actually interpretated, but I personally can't be accepting of the cis man in the role. Especially when multiple examples of Korean trans women are right there.

You can't just go like… "see? We found a trans Korean actress, there's no excuse!". Like that's not how casting works. What if she was doing another project or not good enough or declined or any number of other reasons? The director said they tried to find one but that there's "close to none openly trans actresses in Korea" and I'm inclined to believe him due to the anti-LGBT mess there. Ultimately, I thought he did the character justice, she ended up being the MVP of the season.

Why spend money on any food that isn't flour since it has the lowest cost per calorie? Everyone should understand that on a fundamental level the bare necessities for the human body to survive are not the same as what a human mind needs. If that anime BluRay improves their quality of life, it can be a good purchase, especially if it is one of the the few things standing between them and giving up. We shouldn't begrudge anyone for taking what little they have to make their lives better, especially the people who have the least:

I would really like it if you guys would not make non-constructive public comments about the quality of MCU entries, characters or cast members where bad actors can exploit them to undermine the remainder of The Multiverse Saga as well as whatever is planned for the Phases after Secret Wars. What I can’t accept though is Ghost of Yotei, Chloe/Nadine, Assassin’s Creed Kassandra, Ellie, Kait in Gears of War, etc.

The fact is, the majority of men don’t want to play as women, and the only way they accept it is if it’s a highly attractive woman whose ass they can stare at. That’s reality. Even then, I’m not a slave to sex, and I’d prefer playing as a cool dude than a hot female if given the choice.

A well written female character will have female issues. Why would I as a man enjoy experiencing that? I don’t. At all. And if you’re going to write in male issues for her, then the game falls apart entirely because women aren’t men and they’ll never be men.
