I checked out of the MCU after End Game, before that me and the family (two kids and missus) would be there in the cinema for every release, it was a journey and was great, we lapped up every trailer in anticipation and had a great time.

End Game happened and we were all done with it, we occasionally watched the stuff that followed (the bale film)  it they had absolutely zero interest in anything else (moon Knight, the eternal and all the other stuff afterwards) just no appetite for it, the story was told /we  didn’t care about a bunch of characters from other comics we’d never heard of they may have cared for the tent pole characters like iron man or what have you but they haven’t done that, it’s just a load of shite since it’s really not that deep but idiots like Jeff Marvel just can’t accept it and it’s fell off after the massive success of what they built up to.

The truth is the MCU always sucked. They had very few standouts but overall have more bad movies and shows than good.

Early MCU movies up until the pandemic used to get great reviews, even if they sucked (black widow, captain marvel, etc). After Disney idiotically flooded Disney+ with MCU content, people got used to seeing how fucking dull it all is. Audiences aren’t dumb, they notice that.

Comic book movies aren’t done but they can’t be slop anymore.

STAFF COMMUNICATION / HIGHLIGHTED POST FOR QUALITY DISCUSSION

Good MCU films:
Iron Man
The Winter Soldier (because it doesn't care how completely stupid it is, like The Dark Knight)
Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy (but not really 2)
Thor: Ragnarok
Spider-Man: Homecoming
The Shadow Realm part of Thor: Love and Thunder:
Spoiler:  (click to show)

Ultron Entrance from Avengers: Age of Ultron (otherwise easily one of the worst movies):
Spoiler:  (click to show)

This does not mean others are bad, just that they aren't good.

That's it, that's the factually correct list. Any dismissing of concerns that this list is factually correct will lead to actioning for putting staff in danger.

No member of staff is so petty that they would ban someone just for disagreeing with them.

Yeah but how do we do that without members missing warnings or suggestions from the staff that exist outside of the official posts at the bottom of the page? A mod comes into a thread with a quick "Hey get back on track." or a "Everyone needs to stop dog piling X user." Stuff that doesn't require a full blown staff post at the bottom of every page.

It happens all the time. Especially in politics section and threads related to console stuff.

Their defense is that the staff are all so petty that they'll agree to banning you because you disagreed with one of them. An infraction with historical pedigree: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/L%C3%A8se-majest%C3%A9

Yep. The only shot they had of saving the whole thing was taking a hiatus for a year or two and starting fresh with F4 or X-Men in a new universe. They could have gone multiverse to bring in the old characters that way, but it needed a new story. Thanos literally snapped half the universe out of existence with the most powerful weapon ever made. Where's the threat coming from after that?

I would add Black Panther to the list and maybe Avengers 1. Otherwise, that list is sound.

Even if you like this kind of thread, this is a fucking terrible set of towns to settle in. The starter town is always the most boring fucking town in the entire game with literally 3 houses and a guy that tells you how the game works.  lol
