I know i sound like an old man but im only 32 lol. I wasn't into vine, i disliked the content my baby mama would show me. The issue for me is kids aren't into tiktoks longer than a minute. Atleast my kids and the ones i know aren't. I just hate the general landscape of social media lately. I miss how things were 10 years ago.

 

Yeah, because kids are kids and have developing minds. They're not prepared to be aware of, much less want to willingly fight against, the effects on attention spans that ALL social media- not just TikTok- but ALL social media was deliberately engineered to possess. This is not solved by banning a single platform. It is solved by heavy regulation of our Internet landscape, but methinks that some of the regulation that might actually be necessary is going to be fought against by my generation anyways. Like, I seriously think some level of anonymity has to eventually go away and that criminal prosecution must be allowed to be more easily leveled against users for things like harassment and bigotry. KiwiFarms shouldn't be a thing. I also think that all entertainment and algorithmic-based social media platforms should be heavily restricted to users under 18.

It only took 1 google maps picture for her to drop the ACAB thing and put all her trust in the police to carry out the important duty of you not making fun of her.

I really liked Kingdom Come. Learning the combat in the beginning was a little tricky. But I actually liked it because it was a little different. It wasn't just smash a button kind of combat. But it's definitely not for everyone. 

I haven't played vagrant but if you like something like Skyrim but would like a little more historical accuracy, it's certainly worth the try.

sort of the impression I got was witcher 3 minus fantasy, I think part of that comes from instead of creating a character, "you are this specific guy," and whatever you say or do won't stray too far from what he knows and his own experiences in life

It’s alright but it can be a bit of a slog. The story’s good. Interesting characters. Gameplay is fine once you get into it. I didn’t finish it but it’s definitely worth a few quid. One thing is for certain it’s better than Dragons Dogma 2 and fucking DA Veilguard

the thing I remember about kingdom come was that the wilderness they showed, the forest, when they were first revealing that they were even making a game at all and nobody knew anything about it...it was the best looking rendered forest I had ever seen in my life

I've seen two of the GOTG films but it was back in the cinema and my memory of them is hazy, so I've only seen Suicide Squad from him, and his older films like Super (which I love for being an edgy vigilante hero dark comedy but again would have to rewatch to pick up on problematic aspects) and Troma. I can't remember much wrong in his depiction of the female characters of The Suicide Squad, so I'd love to read more about it. I'm glad you made this thread!

The only interesting part of the Gunn stuff is, he gets a pass for prostrating and apologizing for his wicked past before he saw the light. I imagine it’s relatable, except he’s successful, so there’s some vicarious quality there. In their scripture, they write about how right wingers crucified him. Story behind the controversy is how adherent to historical context they were. And the combat is an example of that. They tried to portray “accurate” sword combat rather than the typical Hollywood wide swings and theatricality. It’s cool. ARMA doesn’t have to play like Call of Duty.

Some recent movies tried to go for that. The Last Duel. The King. Usually how it manifests is two dudes bludgeoning each other with the hilt or holding the blade to poke through armor gaps.
