he could still fix it by unbanning the game and just allowing it to be talked about. the usual suspects would bitch and moan endlessy but only for about 2 days, wouldn't leave the forum as they are sure to promise to do, and things would be normal before long.

Some people are just beyond saving.

They refuse to put in the work to improve their life and instead just wallow and soak in the misery bath they made for themselves. Ideally, you'd just leave such people to their self-destructive vices and focus on the people who actually want a better life for themselves. Yeah we are far and beyond both what was promised by the Ultimate Edition and probably what the planned support tail for the game was; especially compared to other games, it's pretty much an embarrassment of riches that we continue to get things like 5 free new/returning cars a month, new radio stations, major eventlab updates, new race routes, etc. I will gladly pay the extra $5 here and there to support those efforts, especially for something like the JDM Jewels pack which is a bunch of cool, fun lower class rarities.

People need to cool down, this thread has gotten far too heated.

The US TikTok ban is almost assuredly driven by sinophobic intent and not a desire to protect citizens from the issues with social media. That needs to be understood by everyone taking part in this discussion. What also needs to be understood is that people aren't going to like social media platforms for very valid reasons, not everyone who doesn't like tiktok is coming from the same place that the ban is coming from.

There are a lot of people, including marginalized people, who rely on tiktok to communicate, connect with others, and even to make a living. They deserve our understanding and respect. We need to acknowledge where they are coming from and recognize that this ban is going to cause them real harm.

However, there are also a lot of people, including marginalized people, who have been marginalized or hurt, both physically and otherwise, by tiktok and that should also not be ignored. There's a litany of instances where people have been wronged or hurt in many different ways and people are going to take issue with that.

The fact is that this discussion is more complicated than good or bad and we need to recognize that. However, that doesn't mean the ban is a good thing or should be happening in the slightest.
