I would like to give my current working theory. I would love if any of our Trans Friends can add on or give any enlightenment

In my opinion, Trans people represent the future of the human race and our civilization. We have lived life and have been raised in a society that was developed on strict gender roles and identity. Transgender identity breaks all that to the core.

Trans people have existed since the beginning of humanity and could be found with traces in virtually every community across the world. We have knowledge of societies where it was even respected and revered amongst the people

But it's only now on the modern day that trans people have pushed for more social acceptance and visibility and our current society is pushing back on that hard

The vast majority of our power structures in the US gain most of their power by positioning people into believing specific gender identities and roles. Being Trans breaks all that.

Being Trans represents that a human is defined by no strict label and that our gender identity is far more sophisticated than our simple sex organs or sexual orientation.

What I notice regarding Trans Rights issues is that people feel challenged by the idea. They are confused because the very existence of a Trans person disrupts their programming. I do think a lot of this stems from the pure basis that Gay Sex doesn't produce life… but even in a SciFi world where same sex couples could produce life, I know without a damn doubt those children would immediately be considered second class humans overall, we know how humanity works

If we want to evolve past these issues, the core problem that people are having trouble with is having to define "What is a Man"

"What is a Woman"

And what I've found is people are not willing to do the work. They aren't willing to sit down and examine those questions and find a real answer that will support their ideals and reaffirm their identity

It's easier to hate. It's easier to tell someone they are wrong. It's easier to attack them and paint them as an abberation of nature. Because the other solution requires work.

It requires study, and it requires empathy. But in a society that loves to thrive on invisible class systems, everyone just got a new class tier to step on and on top of that, they are a massive minority so no real opposition there

You gotta get people elected to positions under your own banner, you gotta get people to see that your platform can improve their lives, you gotta do the work at the local levels. It's not about making the big speeches infront of the big crowds, it's about going to the small meetings and talking to people and listening to them and coalition building.
