As I've mentioned before, I love all animals, from Wasps (the cutest), marine invertebrates, dung beetles, spiders, lizards, snakes, frogs etc etc etc etc. However, Cats have always had a special space in my heart. I've lived my entire life with cats, I have 11 cats currently, I work in Animal Care and spend so much time caring for orphaned, stray, abused and abandoned cats; I love cats. I love all of these big cats and it's hard for me to pick a favourite (the Cheetah wins just by a nudge, if only for Childhood reasons).

However, throughout my life, I've seen time and again people debate which of the big cats is the best; well lets "settle" it here, right now Era!

Which is your favourite Big Cat and why?

How can you possibly think that wasps are cute. Like sure cats, even though you talk about them in a very autistic way...

Also amazingly it seems like they have a job.

The ‘make kids work at McDonald’s’ thread is interesting to me. While the lawmaker is making half-points and more conversational, there’s some truth to giving kids a sense of ownership.

I say this as my wife of Japanese and she informed me there are no free lunches and janitors in Japan. They make their own lunches AT school and clean up after themselves. Consequently, Japan has an exceptional (if sometimes unhealthy) work ethic, and a spotless society. There’s a collectivism there that helps the society function in a way we should be envious of.

A top down review on how we approach this topic is not a bad idea. ‘We have always done it this way’ is a terrible reason to continue something.

Incidental pollinators. lol

Even though they don’t collect pollen, they do visit flowers constantly to seek nectar for their own energy. As wasps visit these flowers, they inadvertently transfer pollen from plant to plant. Although this is a less efficient form of pollination, it is still quite impactful to our ecosystem.

Yes i am here just to win internet fights and lord over your failures. If you want to engage seriously, go read some history. 76 years of continuous apartheid, of annexation, of killing and imprisonment, of pogroms, of infanticide and humiliation. But yes, tell us how this all really ends because of the Republicans. Face it, America is a sick country that is committed to killing off the Palestinians. One way or another - the Democrats will offer us a veneer of concern, while the Republicans do it openly. I don't care about being right, I am forever alienated by the disease that permeates American politics. You want allyship? You want harm reduction? How about you stop killing us, over and over?

I'm the monster for pointing out of the complete elimination of a people is far far worse and irreversible. There are no degrees to anything its all binary. I don't know how many times I have to say the genocide was a bipartisan nonnegotiable part of the election, one said brokered a cease fire, the other is said and is putting into motion peace through total elimination of one side.
Binary? I've demonstrated that the entire system has been designed to kill us all off. I talk about 76 years of injustice and you're locked on October 7. We've had decades of "harm reduction" that was nothing more than a slow acting poison, an educator of history would be well aware of this but i still wait for that acknowledgment. The cumulation of America's failures is on top of us and i speak as an Arab who has born witness to the repeated hell that America puts on top of us - your fixation on the last man holding the gun means little here. You knowingly voted for genocide. I guess the best descriptor for that is Nazi. MAGA works too.

Quote:That's the most frustrating thing about this.

Pointing out the stark reality like this gets you accused of being a genocide apologist.

I was never happy about the situation, but you're right. Neither option in the recent election would stop the genocide. That was the shitty reality dealt to us. And I kept saying that people were acting like a magical third option would appear like a deus ex machina as long as they kept to their principles.

It was pretty much a horrific trolley problem. But I had to pull a lever either way.

The US have never been the good guys. But they are an important piece holding together the imperfect post-WWII status quo that was shitty to the Global South but still far, far preferable to instability.

I'm locked in at the last election, that's what I'm focusing. I don't know how to make it any clearer. Look if you think there isn't any difference between what Harris would allow to happen and what Trump is pushing for then I don't know what to tell you. Also fucking wild you think I'm endorsing or supporting any of this instead of pointing out the consequences of the only two options we had to vote for and how Trump was far far far worse. If you want to move away from harm reduction then I think we are entering that period in US foreign policy in this region.
You are deeply in denial over Americas role and history in the region. Democrats have reliably demonstrated that their vision of "peace" means bombing every country and allowing Israel to run around, burning and pillaging as it pleases, like a barbarian horde. They've offered words to placate but here on ground zero we are witness to a hell that surpasses the 1948 Nakba. I am under no illusion that Trump will carry on the torch. You want to argue that Trump is a threat to the world order? No argument from me. But as a leader to the region, its business as usual. We've migrated from one cold blooded murderer to the next. You want to argue harm reduction for a party that has enabled a genocide. Do you take us for idiots? If you want people to blame for the election loss, look inwards. The Democrat party is in tatters, and for good reason.

It goes on for every swing state as far as drop off ballots. Bullet ballots (where there's only a vote cast for the presidential candidate and nothing else down ballot) favored Trump dramatically in swing states.

Yeah, I know, tin foil hat shit and all but seeing it broken down like this gives one pause. Trump said they had the votes and he was right. Knowing Biden's numbers from '20, that would be the target to overcome in '24 (and could explain the massive red shift).
Here's the problem with your (and everyone else in that thread) theory bud. Look at the claim in the OP:
Quote:if all legal ballots were counted, Trump would have lost the states of Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Georgia. Vice-President Kamala Harris would have won the Presidency with 286 electoral votes.
Three of these states would have had Democratic officials doing the voter suppression or ballot stuffing for Trump. And the Republican official in the other state is the one who refused to "find the votes" for Trump in 2020 on the famous phone call.

Hilarious that all the posters pushing back are trying to mathematically debunk or just dismiss this rather than point out the theory requires the Democrats to violate the law in order to deliberately elect Trump.
