I have a confession to make. I watched Emilia Perez last night and kind of liked it 

I mean, thematically it's an absolute mess and Selena Gomez might be playing one of the most annoying characters out there. And even as someone who has no connection to mexico I could tell how it weirdly feels like a movie about Mexico without Mexicans. 
That said, I actually liked how dissonant the musical numbers feel. Sometimes going really over the top and other times being really understated mixed into a conversation. I don't know, maybe that makes it a bad musical too but I like that approach more than whatever Wicked does.
Like, don't give this any Oscars but I thought I'd find nothing redeemable about it

It was like a train wreck so my wife and I watched it till the end in one sitting. Wicked was just boring and 
annoyingly woke (yes, more than the trans movie). Like 70% of the guys in Wicked were seemingly gay. I get that it’s a musical so the actors are probably but…

Anyway, we only finished Wicked on some other day because we already started watching it. 

For once I agree with the crazies that Emilia Perez is just some Oscar bait and doesn’t deserve to win anything but somehow they are really pissing on every mainstream trans thing (Cyberpunk, Hogwarts Legacy) because of some detail. Nothing is woke enough for them.

Anyway I'm watching a youtube video covering titled " The Racist Cisgender Nonsense of Emilia Perez" from some weird Transgender non-binary youtuber, and it's for the same reason I browse Ree: because it's just so damn fascinating and amusing on just how unhinged total nutjobs perceive their own twisted reality.

Long story short, it's amazing how a movie can go through so many lengths to please the trans community (painting a transgender cartel leader character in a very sympathetic light, at that) and you'll still have some woke freak calling it "the most racist and transphobic garbage I've ever seen"

I get you and appreciate the thread. I happen to work in the aero-space manufacturing industry and I feel my efforts would be more influential fighting fire with fire. A bunch of fragile masculinity types aren't going to be swayed by normal protest. But if these types feel there's actually a threat of push back from an opposing armed force, I'd want to be there. I want my violent, anti fascist views to actually able to come from somewhere. I don't own a gun and wouldn't know where to start knowing it's mostly a right wing thing. Would love to know of groups to align with.

I will be checking this game out when it comes out since someone in my family share group on steam has already bought it. It's not really my kind of game though. Not necessarily in terms of gameplay, but its setting and world don't appeal to me that much. The main character also has a dumb looking face, which is off-putting. (I know it's a weird thing to say)
