Each freaking day is worth 150 monetary units in every gacha, so almost full pull which is 160 units (60 from doing dailies and 90 when you have monthly subscriptions) and if you lsoe the 150 units per day, in order to compensate that, you need to buy crystals with real money. 60 freaking crystals cost 1,20 euros, now calculate 60 + 60 + 30 = 3 freaking euros, just for one gacha. now multiply that by 4 (Genshin + HSR + ZZZ + Wuwa, I won't include Ifnity Nikki cus it stayed working for dailies. Those alone are 12 euros lost for those 4 games for that "short" period you claim. It would have been much dire if it lasted more, cus there are events ending in few hours in Wuwa granting 500 Astrites and more ending tomorrow, one of them in Genshin granting 880 Primogems and a skin that will cost 1680 crystals after the end of the event. Now make the calculation yourself. Without forgetting rewards that will never come back. Also there are weekly challenges that grant even more units so if it continued, we would have missed them for the majority of people who do them on weekends.

I take for exmaple the case of Fortnite too. I didn't have time to play the season every day, so me and a friend were gridning daily to earn 7 levels each day. Now that it got down, we missed the 7 levels (even more if we wanted) before reset, those may not be compensated for the rest of the season unless we grind much more which is not granted so we can hope buying such missed levels for 150 Vbuck each so 1.5 buck each.

Without forgetting dailies of other games liek fallguys and and rivals which have similar system if you miss.


I can go much further but since you really don't care. It's not my problem. ANyway, it's not you or Sony that will compensate those euros lost, something people would neglect thinking it is just one day.

That's one of the reasons why I dislike the term "prestige" (especially now fans have adopted it to describe video games, I'll get back to that); I feel like it's a term used by people and networks to prop up there big budget shows, implying their inherently better because they have bigger budgets, production values and access to bigger name actors; that all that equals better writing and storytelling which quite bluntly isn't true. Honestly the elitism so damn obvious, like how many declare animation can't be "prestige" for no other reason then the believe animation is an inferior artform to live-action, or comedies can't be prestige, Sci-Fi can't be prestige, or just works that were made with lower budgets etc etc. It's honestly no better then gaming with it's "AAA" nonsense (or now the attempts to declare their big budget games as "AAAA"), so much of it is unearned and feels like such a capitalist belief, that just because something has a bigger budget it MUST mean it has more value and MUST be better.

And yeah, another reason I can't stand the term is because of fanboys using it to be elitist snobs, trying to act their tastes are better, refusing to watch anything not considered "prestige" because it's "low art" or "lesser" media, insulting others for liking "lesser" shows etc etc... Which is just pathetic to me. That and fanboys declaring you MUST watch them, that you MUST enjoy crap like Breaking Bad (sorry I never liked that show); oh and the implication that only American shows can be "prestige", that works from other countries are inherently lesser or worse regardless of their quality or writing.

And recently I've seen fanboys trying to co-opt this term to describe video games, usually their favourite video games to try to imply their inherently better then others and nearly reeks of elitism (funny how multiplayer games can't be "prestige"). Recently I saw people pushing this with the Metroid series, trying to act like it's Nintendo's only "prestige" title (along with lies that it invented the Metroidvania genre), often implying Nintendo's other series like Zelda, Mario, Animal Crossing, Splatoon etc are lower art and like... Fuck off! Like I love Super Metroid but no, Nintendo has many great games, big and small, there is no need to trying to make create some arbitrary hierarchy based on fan snobbery (and the weird idea that something being less mainstream = better which is also reeks of elitism). I've seen people bush this with Naughty Dog games (or Sony games in general), usually as Console War nonsense and of course like with TV, indie and lower budget works are automatically excluded, it's only every big studio titles.

And like why? Why in a time where more and more studios are showing their arses to support Trump, pushing AI, laying off the actual artists and creatives (as well as putting them through wringer with crunch) are we trying to imply only big budget art from big corporations is only valid "prestige" ones? Why are pushing the idea that lower budget and indie works are less value, can't be as good because they are made on lower budget, must have worse stories because to they have less production values? I feel like we should be doing the opposite, supporting indies (especially good POC, women and LGBTQ+ works given the studios seem to pushing away from them).
