An online video shows two NSW Health nurses making threatening comments about Israelis.

NSW Health Minister Ryan Park said the comments made by the pair were "vile, dehumanising and unacceptable".


Two NSW Health nurses have been stood down after video emerged showing them bragging about killing and refusing to treat Israeli patients.

The clip was shared by content creator Max Veifer speaking to Ahmad Rashad Nadir and Sarah Abu Lebdeh, both of whom have been confirmed to be health workers from Bankstown Hospital in Sydney's south-west.

It is one of several videos on Mr Veifer's account that feature conversations with people in different parts of the world — mainly the Middle East — on the app Chatruletka, which connects users with others at random.

When Mr Veifer tells Mr Nadir he is from Israel, he responds that he will be killed and go to "Jahannam", a place akin to hell in Islam.

"I'm so upset that you're Israeli," Mr Nadir says.

"Eventually you're going to get killed and go to Jahannam, inshallah."

When Mr Veifer asks why he is going to be killed, Ms Abu Lebdeh comes into the frame of the video.

"It's Palestine's country, not your country, you piece of shit," she says.

Ms Abu Lebdeh says that his "time will come" and that he will die, before her words are beeped out in the video.

"When your time comes, I want you to remember my face so you can understand you will die the most disgusting death," she says, before adding that she won't treat Israelis.

"I won't treat them, I will kill them," she says.

Mr Nadir then tells Mr Veifer he sends Israelis to Jahannam as he makes a threatening gesture.

"You have no idea how many Israeli dog[s] came to this hospital and I send them to Jahannam," he says.

Mr Nadir also says in the video that he is a doctor, which he is not.

The circumstances preceding the pair's comments are unclear as the video contains visible edits.

Solicitor Mohamad Sakr, representing Mr Nadir, said that his client had sent a "very sincere apology to not only that individual, but to the Jewish community as a whole".

"He understands what has happened, he is trying to make amends for what has happened," Mr Sakr said.

"He has never appeared before the court in relation to any criminal matters. He is a person of prior good character. It is unfortunate to find himself in a situation like this."

The thing is, I don't even personally care if people are productive, or if they're dialing into zoom calls with their camera off and mic muted while they eat a sandwich in a different room or whatever.

I'm more offended by the pantomime around the whole thing. "I'm working! I am! Just as hard as always! Actually scratch that...even harder, and 1000 times more effective! And my god, the team bonding, phew...we're closer than ever and engaged on such a human level now!" 

Just admitting that it's cozy and we don't have to drive and and that work is lame at least has some principle behind it. And I think it is sincerely more defensible.

Yet the dynamic kind of makes sense in modern society with highly independent women uninterested in having a man around all the time, let alone a boy her age without the same grit and ambition. These are not the classic broke, desperate, dumped single moms of old. 

At the same time older guys with a grand vision do want children and families but don't want to deal with the insignificant day to day errands. But these are not the type of 'daddies' that freak out, demand abortions or break it off if they find out she wants a child.

Ashley posted something about Elon being the greatest war general of our time last year and this is indeed close to how it worked in the Roman and Ottoman empires when generals took on wives and harems in between wars. And while many see those as mysoginist male dominated societies there is an argument that they weren't. 

Women often held high political positions and managed staff, supplies, trade, taxation and properties. And in terms of loyalty even if the men were out looting, fighting, hunting and yes enjoying the spoils of their conquest, they would always return home even if they knew their wives weren't waiting for months and had flings at court too.

The strange thing is that these societies are also seen as 'conservative' but don't fit the classic marriage model at all. I think there is a lot of taboos that need revisiting and that would lift a burden for both fit independent young women and healthy succesful men.

A police force reissued a mugshot of a convicted Islamic State (IS) terrorist after she complained she was not wearing a niqab in it.

Farishta Jami, 36, was found guilty of terrorism offences on Thursday for planning to fly to Afghanistan to join IS.

West Midlands Police initially released an image showing her full face and hair – but then published a second that showed only her eyes beneath a navy blue niqab.

Matthew Brook KC, Jami’s barrister, told Leicester Crown Court on Friday that she had experienced “considerable distress” because of the photograph showing her full face.
